The Stone Groov Band

The StonegrooV Band was founded by Roger Hamilton in April 2016.

Being the front man for the band Rhythm Express, Roger saw a need to branch out and do more versatile music, including originals.

Since it’s inception, the band has played all over Florida, from corporate gigs, weddings, birthday parties, local restaurants to state fairs.

The band has strong relationships with the Arthur Murray studios, recording artist Mr Shawn Brown, Boomers magazine and local businesses and owners.

Hey everyone! I’m Rudy.

I’m just a poor Puerto Rican guy who lives in Valrico Florida that likes to play Funky.

I have been playing Guitar and Bass since I was just a small child. More years than I want to admit. I have been performing in front of live audiences all my life and of course I am thankful for the gift that God has given me. I must stay active because a silent musician is a dead musician! I offer my musical gift to my church being a part of a Funky Gospel TV music ministry which is broadcasted all over the world. I gig regularly as well with a few amazing bands in the Tampa Bay area. Music is the air I breathe. I can’t see myself surviving without it!

My talent comes from my Lord and savior Jesus Christ and He is my main influence. I respect and admire groups like, Christian Hill Songs and also a variety of talented Christian artists. Bands like Earth Wind & Fire, Tower Of Power, George Duke band, Al Dimeola & Return to Forever, Frank Gambale, Basia, Manhattan Transfer, and New York Singers moves me musically. I will even throw some older Santana in the mix.

My biggest bass influence is Verdine White of Earth, Wind &; Fire.

Chris Sapienza
guitar, vocals, bass….

Chris brings versatility to stonegrooV, with a rock, country background, he adopted the funk and does it well.

A member of the Kenny Cheney tribute band, he adjust his busy schedule to keep the band relevant.. straight out of Boston Mass, Chris has played with a number of bands along the east coast

Eddie continue his musical endeavors while in the army, later adding Keyboards, Drums, Guitar to his repertoire.
After his discharge from the army, Eddie became part of the Austin music scene in Texas.

He studied under several well known musical instructors, including Scott Martin, working hard on perfecting his musical skills. He also opened up for a number of well known acts, including Stanley Clark, Air Supply, the Gap and Edgar Winter. He was also blessed to sat in on a cruise gig with the Temptations, Played also with the likes of Weather Report and Alphonse Mourzon.

Stone GrooV certainly benefits from this wealth of his gifts and talents.
